Materials and care

Materials

Majority of the products are made from sustainably sourced radiata pine timber.
The cot base is a slatted LVL timber base, to allow for increased airflow.
The chest drawer bottoms and back panels are MDF sheets for strength and to avoid warping.

Care

Pine timber is softer by nature, meaning there is less chance of splintering. Some babies will teeth on furniture, pine timber is more gentle on their mouth timber.
The timber is coated in a light lacquer (tested to Australian safety standards) which helps keep a consistent colour in the timber and avoids the timber yellowing
Regularly wipe dust away using a soft cloth.
For deeper cleans use water or a very mild cleaning agent which is suitable for painted surfaces

Even being in the industry we found ourselves overwhelmed with choices, feeling like you need everything. The intention behind this package was to create a base for your nursery. You’re getting a matching set, a choice of mattress and a manchester pack. Buying everything together makes the most of our package pricing.

Designed for growth

The cot is intentionally lower, it means that when transitioning into the toddler bed conversion your child has more independence to get in and out without the risk of a high drop. The chest is designed so that it can be used well beyond the early years. It is not designed to be a ‘baby’ chest of drawers but rather furniture you can use anywhere.

The focus behind the Pisa range was to design something which looked good but didn’t come with a high price tag. We focused on using quality material (timber) and changing the design vs changing the materials to reduce the price.

Cot and mattress

do not put objects or accessories in an infant’s sleep environment;
do not place this product near a blind, cord, strap or similar item that could become wrapped around an infant’s neck.
It is important that the gaps between the mattress and the sides and ends of the cot will not exceed 40 mm when the mattress is pushed to one side or end, and 20 mm when the mattress is centred in the cot.

ALWAYS secure it with an anchor device.
NEVER allow children to stand, climb or hang on drawers, doors, or shelves.
NEVER open more than one drawer at a time.
Place heavy items down low.
NEVER put a TV on this furniture
